An Insect-ing Morning in McDonald’s

August 27, 2007 · Posted in Thesis · Comments Off on An Insect-ing Morning in McDonald’s

CockroachI woke up relatively late over the last two days, but am glad that my body is back to normal condition again. I woke up at about 6 the morning and had my breakfast at McDonald’s again. This time, decided that I should not eat the same thing, I avoided the Big Breakfast Meal and ordered Hotcakes with Sausage Meal instead. Not bad for a change of taste *wink*.

After that, I spent the morning revising the remaining Chapter 4 of my thesis. So far, I have achieved up till the sixth section. There are a couple more sections to go, and with a few additions and amendment, but I am optimistic that it will be completed by the end of this week. Hence, it also means that the goal which I set out to do last week was not achieved *sad*.

Thesis – Cleared 5th Section of Chapter 4

August 26, 2007 · Posted in Thesis · 2 Comments

Dell Laptop 5150Should I stop or continue? The time is half past 2 in the morning. I promised myself that I will not sleep late tonight, yet I have skipped past the midnight hour. There are couple of good news and bad news.

The good news is that I have finally cleared Chapter 4.5! Though I have to admit it is lame that I took such a long time to complete this one small section, whereas last Thursday, I managed to complete so many sections. Anyway, I am glad that I can move on and that’s the good thing.

Downtown of Nanjing

As I have just started this blog site not long ago, I did not mention anything that happen previously. A few months ago in June, I took up a project assignment in China – for students who are applying for the Entrance Test into Singapore Polytechnics, as well as Nanyang Polytechnics. The course (project) ended last month (end of July), and the results are anticipated to be released sometime this month.

Lazy Boring Friday

Boring Class Picture

Today must have been the laziest Friday that I have been through. I woke up rather early in the morning at about 7, and went to have my breakfast around 8am. By the time I finished, it was about quarter to 9. I have to admit that the day is very lovely, and I have that kind of sleazy mood that blends into the bluish environment.

Yes, it is Friday; for the working class, it is probably the last day of their hectic work week, and for the students, it’s finally the end of enduring rigorous lectures and attending puzzling tutorial sessions. While I have not really begun from where I stop yesterday, I hope to do that soon, as the time is already coming to 2 in the afternoon. Besides, I am wondering how am I going to reach my goal (of clearing Chapter 4 of the thesis) by the end of the day.

Rush Hour 3 – Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker

August 23, 2007 · Posted in Films · 3 Comments

Rush Hour 3 (2007)

Rush Hour 3

I went to catch a movie – Rush Hour 3 – last night, starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker in this third episode of Rush Hour. Frankly speaking, I have not watched the first two episodes, but I can understand why fans are quite happy to catch this third episode, as it seems to have top the US box office. I have heard of news over The Straits Times that this movie did not fare well in Hong Kong, and definitely not in China. Nonetheless, I decided to give myself a break and go for a short laughter.

In this third part, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker found themselves in Paris battling a Chinese criminal organisation. The set-up sounds very exaggerated; and the plot was rather shallow. However, audience does get occasional roars of laughters throughout the show, together with some action packs starring Jackie Chan’s kung fu fighting scene.

Working off at McDonald’s

August 23, 2007 · Posted in Thesis · 2 Comments

McDonald's LogoWaking up before 7 every morning is not an easy feat, these few days have been a routine for me. I find that waking up before dawn is rather refreshing, and I feel that I have the entire time in the day for myself; which is a good thing. Since I am up early, I decided to have a meal at the McDonald’s today, and perhaps do my work here. The good thing about working at McDonald’s is that there is free Internet access, and with drinks accompanied along the way.

My day has just started not long ago, and the time is about half past 8. So, while it is important not go get distracted and carried away with blogging. I should stop here and resume my thesis-editing. I really hope I can finish Chapter 4 by today, if not, latest by tomorrow.

Stick Friends Pictures

Stickgal was introduced to me by my sister, and I had a great laugh browsing at those incredible, lovely masterpiece, drawn by Stickgirl (herself). Just today, as I was browsing her site, she has just changed the domain name from stickgal.blogspot.com to bitterstickgirl.com.

Good move, stickgirl. I presume it is about time that you get yourself a domain name, judging from the statistics that you already have over 475,000 visitors.
