Late Stays Hotel Booking

Late Stays Logo

Introduced by a colleague, Late Stays is a last minute hotel booking website. After browsing through, it looks excellent as it also provide a great list of prices and rates for comparison online.

Going to Thailand has been one of the destination in my agenda, this reference is definitely going to come useful. The rate can go as low as US$40 per night for a three-star hotel.

Hence, this is my recommended website for you to do any last minute booking for hotel. It does not encompass Thailand only; there are also several other destinations, such as Singapore, Scotland, Vietnam, etc.

Mathematical EquationThe WordPress Math Publisher plugin is really exciting for me, especially I am now able to write formula in WordPress. It works almost like LaTeX, with a slight modification to the style, but it works equally well.

Below is an example…

Fengshan Community Centre (CC) – Route Map

May 27, 2008 · Posted in TJC Related · 1 Comment

Fengshan Community Centre MapA college friend of mine recommended on how you can get to Fengshan Community Centre (CC). I found that his instructions were relatively constructive, clear and concise; hence, I have posted it here.

There is a map at the right side of this post. It may provide a very much useful guide for getting you to Fengshan CC.

  1. (a)Take Bus Service Number 222 from the bus stop along the main road on the side of the Bedok Interchange. Alight at the bus stop, opposite Fengshan Market. Or,
(b)Take either Bus Service Number 14 or 222 from Bedok Interchange (same berth). Alight at the bus stop at Fengshan Market or one stop just before the market (it should be the 3rd stop from the Bedok Interchange).
  2. Fengshan CC is situated somewhere behind the blocks opposite Fengshan Market. In other words, you have to cut across the green from the bus stop opposite Fengshan Market. From the bus stop opposite Fengshan Market, walk ahead a little, then turn left. There should be a path. On the left will be a basketball court, and on the right will be a block of flat with Chin Lee restaurant at the ground floor.
  3. If you stop one stop before the market after boarding the bus from Bedok Interchange, walk towards Fengshan CC in a slightly different route. This bus stop is closer to Fengshan CC from the other direction. After alighting, walk ahead and cross the road at the traffic light. You should then follow the side-road all the way down. On your left should be a block of flats
with a lot of shops on the ground floor (including Chin Lee restaurant at the far end, and Shop N Save nearest you). When you walk down the road, Fengshan CC will be on your left at the end of that road.
  4. Conversely, you can alight one stop after the bus stop opposite Fengshan Market if you take 222 from the main road. Walk back a little towards the side-road mentioned earlier.

Well, thanks Edwin for providing such a useful information!

Friday Mood – Mindless and Clueless

May 23, 2008 · Posted in Rant Corner · Comment

Question ManMy mood is low today; not it is not moody, but feeling the sense of mind floating in a dimensionless space where its trajectory follows the path of any forcing function applied to it. Even the thought of ex-schoolmates gathering tonight does not seem to “hyper-activate” me.

It is already the 4th quarter of the month in May in the year 2008. This number seems very special, exactly 30 years since my eyes experience light on earth. When I viewed back, I wondered how far have I come until today.

Good Sleep Needed After Staying Up Late

May 22, 2008 · Posted in Rant Corner · Comment

Good Night Sleep

After staying up to watch the UEFA Champion League Final early this morning at 0245 hrs (+8hrs GMT), I did not really have a rest until now, about 8pm. The final between Manchester United and Chelsea is one that should not be missed, as it is the first time in the history that the final consists of all-English teams.

Anyway, my rant today is not about the match, but rather more about my sleep. I had about 3 cup of coffee today, just to keep myself awake and not doze off. Luckily for me, I am used to mental exertion, hence it did not affect me too badly.

Last but not least, I will try to tidy up the examiners’ review on my thesis before I retire to bed early. I was thinking of watching Indiana Jones DVD, but maybe I should skip that and wait for a better opportunity to watch.
