Mas Selamat – Captured

Mas SelamatMas Selamat, the fugitive from Singapore after he escaped from the Whitley Detention Centre a few years back, was captured! This time, he was captured by the Malaysian government at Johor Bahru.

During the interview, he has revealed plans of plotting against Singapore and evidences have shown his action from the location he was captured. Anyway, the news was so huge, that it spread across The Straits Times of the Singapore newspaper. The interesting part is, he was captured in April 1st, 2009. So, why the late release of the news?

It was told in the news that in order to keep the secrecy of the capture at its tip, news of its arrest was not announced, so as not to alert any possible other JI members who could be in the group of plotting. However, it seems that he was acting alone.

Cristiano Ronaldo 2 Strikes Against Arsenal

The key to unlock Arsenal defense – Cristiano Ronaldo. Going into 2nd leg with a 1-0 advantage to Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson knew what is required to ensure progress to the Champion league final – an away goal! With the away goal rule in the UEFA ruling, it simply means that Arsenal would need 3 goals against Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium. Unfortunately, that did not really materialise.

Arsenal Versus Manchester United in Champion League Semi-Final

Arsenal will play Manchester United at the Emirate Stadium this evening. What a semi-final it’s going to be, with both English team in the Champion League.

The Red Devils go into the second leg with a one goal advantage, and it is very likely that Sir Alex Ferguson will field an attacking team to get that extra one goal at Arsenal home ground. This will ensure Arsenal needing 3 goals to win the tie.

It would be too exciting here, and I will definitely be waiting to hear of the good news.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Wolverine - X-Men Origins

I was flipping through the LifeStyle section of the Newspaper today to check out one of the latest movies, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Normally, I would prefer to watch at the Cathay cinema, because as a UOB Credit Card holder, I get to enjoy discounted movies. Whilst I see a lot of other cinemas, e.g. Golden Village, Shaw Organisation, etc., showing the latest release of Wolverine, I do not see it being shown on Cathay. What is going on?

Perhaps, I’ll just have to wait for another weekend to catch the show. Oh, did I mention it was Labour Day last Friday? I had quite a relaxing long weekend. Practically, I had a marathon mahjong session on Saturday. It was a winning kill.

My Rise and Fall for the Past One Year

Roller Coaster RideHonestly, I do not know how to start this post. The last 12 months have been quite a roller-coaster ride for me. In fact, the ride actually started way beyond times that I really did not want to think about it. Will it take a psychologist to be able to interpret my post, or maybe a normal person could easily understand what I am trying to say here. Then, once again, I am not trying to send out any message, it is only just that I want to rant about it.
