Quick Haircut Nearby My Home

Hair Wash

Feel a little frustrated in the morning, I decided to drop by the neighbourhood Salon to have a haircut. To give myself a little pampering, I also included hair wash into the agenda.

The feeling of walking out from the Salon is so much different from that when I first stepped inside. I started to believe that visiting the Salon for a wash is a good alternative to vent frustration and keep the good mood in oneself.

GeoSmart 1.5.3 Resolves Database Issue But…

October 14, 2009 · Posted in Site Info · 4 Comments

No Google Map on GeoSmart

GeoSmart 1.5.3 has just been released. It managed to resolve some of the issues raised up previously in GeoSmart 1.5. Unfortunately, that did not help to solve the problem of why the Google Map remains missing (see image above).

GeoSmart Synchronize

Nevertheless, that is considered in my opinion a great improvement, as the PHP code is no longer showing up, as well as the “Synchronize” button.

GeoSmart 1.5 is Worse

October 13, 2009 · Posted in Site Info · 1 Comment

GeoSmart Error

I have just upgraded to my GeoSmart plugin to version 1.5. In fact, it did not help, but actually caused it more issue to it. Sam actually did try to help by dropping a comment on the previous GeoSmart post; but I guess it’s not much help.

Hopefully, the next version is able to resolve this issue. I’ll disable this plugin for the time being until the issue is resolved.

M1 Sunperks Sucks

October 11, 2009 · Posted in Rant Corner · 6 Comments

M1 Sunperks

Today, I realised that MobileOne (M1) SunPerks Rewards programme actually sucks. Account holders need to achieve at least 1,300 Rewards Points in order to be able to redeem some freebies. And, achieve that target is really not an easy feat!

The latest that I heard about their offer of 400 perk points to redeem movie ticket is also a marketing gimmicks – the tickets are whilst stock last. Don’t be surprised if you arrive at the cinema and the counter staff told you it’s out of stock. It is just not meant for end users (consumers).

Pu Dong Airport – Oct 2009

Shanghai Pu Dong Airport Terminal 2

Sitting inside the Departure lounge, I patiently wait for the clock to tick by. Last night, I did my Internet check-in (something that I have not done before) chose my seat and confirmed my flight back to Singapore. My initial online experience accessing the Singapore Airlines website is a delight; simple and easy-to-use step-by-step methodology to reach the end.

Firestats has been one of my favourite tool to track top pages on my blog. Utilising its capability, the report shows that during the last week, some of my posts have hit top gears.

Nokia E71 is the post that hit the top of the chart. Following next on the line is Sarah Brandner. To be honest, I am not sure how these two posts managed to get so popular; but it could likely be due to search engines’ contribution.

Anyway, it’s not a big issue; in fact, I like it when I have a lot of hits on my site!

GSpace Finally Supported in Firefox 3

October 8, 2009 · Posted in Applications · 2 Comments

GSpaceFinally, after more than half a year, GSpace released a version that is supported in Firefox 3.

I don’t understand why it took so long for the developer to find an answer round this issue, but at least I am grateful it’s finally available.

As an avid user of GMail, I can utilise the 7GB of storage space as a backup. Well, this is not exploiting, but just making the best use out of what’s possible and supported by Google.

With GSpace, files that are larger than 19MB can be uploaded to GMail and stored as an archive.
