Foyce Le Xuan Speaks Up

March 14, 2010 · Posted in Entertainment Industry · 1 Comment

On Jack Neo’s latest sex scandal, besides Wendy Chong who sparked a series of media confrontation and a 5-minute news conference, this time it is Foyce Le Xuan, Jack’s subordinate in his J Team.

According to Foyce, she did not have physical sexual intimacy with his boss; but displayed a couple of evidence that it was initiated from Jack Neo. A show was aired on Friday night to the audience of Singapore as the interviewer went around asking questions and opinions from the public. Foyce was one of them, who gave a detailed account of what happened during her contract with the J Team.

Whatever it is, the public gave their side of the story, Foyce gave hers. What’s important is, this is still one side of the story – Jack did not gave his. I don’t imply Jack should provide his side; ultimately, the public should stop living in the past and let things move on. Do you think that policemen still wear shorts these days?

Jack Neo – At the Press Conference

March 12, 2010 · Posted in Entertainment Industry · 2 Comments

Some said it was the pressure of Jack Neo’s manager, others claimed it was because of personal guilt that he wanted to do this. Nevertheless, Jack Neoone-way traffic” press conference this morning at 10am, Singapore time to express his apologies to the public. Why I say it’s a “one-way traffic“, is because there is no question-and-answer session after the end of the conference.

Over 50 members of the press had gathered at an auditorium in Scorpio East Building on Tai Sing Avenue, where Jack Neo’s production house is based. The objective of the conference, as mentioned by Jack’s manager, Mr Tang Wing Fai, is to give the public an explanation and hope that this case will be concluded.

The entire session lasted a couple of minutes – details are splashed across all over the world wide web, I do not have to list them here. Nevertheless, I personally feel that the media should seriously leave them alone. Just because of his celebrity status, do we need to demand an apology from him?

Anyway, it is undoubtedly that since then, his career will take a tumble down the cliff. It will not be easy for him to rebuild his career, given his age and his residence in Singapore. Perhaps, in overseas, it might have been easier. What I’d like to say is – Good Luck!

Jack Neo and 11 Alleged Mistresses

March 10, 2010 · Posted in Entertainment Industry · 1 Comment

Singapore media is really funny. I think they are trying to follow the western style, by trying to dig deep starting from Jack Neo’s affair with Wendy Chong. Recall a few months back when the Tiger Woods rocked the world with over 10 women were reported to have a relationship with him. AsiaOne just did the same to Jack.

Most of the alleged women are between 20s to 40s, mostly related to work. One was even a hotel staff (look at how much the story correlates to that of Tiger Woods’)!

Yesterday, a news reported that a Singapore minister, George Yeo, “supported” Jack Neo. Now, the first thought is – politicians should really stay out of this, unless they want to get themselves into a sticky situation, and it really did. Today’s news in The Straits Times has to clarify that statement, made by George Yeo, which mentioned “support“, that actually refers to counselling. These are just unnecessary, isn’t it? For a moment, it reminds of George Galloway, a UK politician, who participated in one of the Big Brothers reality show. He eventually ended up evicted from the house and had a lot of explanation to do over the air, from the “tasks” that he was been asked to do.

To human is err, but unfortunately, the bigger you are, the impact is bigger. That’s the price to pay being a celebrity.

Wendy Chong – Jack Neo’s Affair

March 8, 2010 · Posted in Entertainment Industry · 7 Comments

Heard about the infamous tabloid on John Terry’s affair with Wayne Bridge’s ex-girlfriend in the UK? An almost similar situation happen in Singapore as well. Or Tiger Wood’s affair with countless number of women across the world?

Quite identical, Jack Neo, 50, a local movie director and celebrity in Singapore has confessed to a two-year affair with a freelance model, Wendy Chong, 22, after the young 1.63m tall model exposed it by showing up at his Pasir Ris semi-detached home. It was reported that Neo met Chong when she got a bit role as a nurse in his movie, Money No Enough 2, two years ago, and has a meatier role as Mark Lee’s sister-in-law in his latest film, Being Human, which opened on Thursday.

According to the news tabloid, Wendy tried calling Jack several times on Friday but he did not answer her calls. She then went to Jack’s home at about 3 pm and waited till he returned home. She told him she wanted to go in and talk to his wife, Madam Irene Kng, 46. To her surprise, Neo let her into the house and called his wife to come downstairs.

Chong said Madam Kng’s reaction to her husband’s affair shocked her. ‘She asked me, ‘What do you want?‘ She said that she did not care about who Jack involved with as she was content that she loved him.’ In addition, Madam Kng surprisingly said she had known about the affair for a year but she chose to ‘close one eye’ and did not confront her husband.
