Halfway into the 2010/2011 Barclay Premier League seasons in England, the only unbeaten team, Manchester United, stays in pole position for the first time in the club’s history in the Premiership. Could it be following the footstep of Arsene Wenger, who did it with Arsenal a few years back? No one can really tell, but the odds are high to bet against them not to win the title.
Staying with the Red Devils at the peak is Manchester City, but second-placed due to goal difference, and also having played 2 games more. Trailing not far behind is Arsenal, who won comfortably over the weekend, as well as Tottenham Hotspur.
Personally, any one of these top 5 teams is a possible winner for the BPL title. I won’t be surprised that Chelsea started to kick into 4th gear in the second half. Manchester United is no bullet-proof as well. Expect teams at the top to drop points and those at the bottom to catch up.
However, Sir Alex Ferguson and his team should have the experience to carry them through this season to bring the silverware back from Chelsea’s grip to Old Trafford. With 19 more games to go, things could look really tough, yet exciting for all top 5 title contenders.
