Avoid Swimming in Pasir Ris Beach

Beach Swimming at Pasir RisThe National Environment Agency (NEA) has advised the public in Singapore to stay away from swimming in the Pasir Ris Beach water as their latest annual report shows that the samples collected contains over 7 percent of enterrococcus, which is a form of bacteria that appears in human feces.

Other beaches are still considered as good or very good quality; hence safer to swim. The recommendation by NEA is to avoid swimming in the Pasir Ris Beach until the next review; that is, next year August 2010.

A word of advice, better be safe than sorry.
