Barcelona Prepares €40 Million Bid for Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano RonaldoAs I was browsing through the news update on the Official Manchester United website, I noticed another significant rumour being created out of nothing; especially during this crucial Champion League period. According to report,

“… Barcelona last night dramatically joined the race to sign €40m-rated Cristiano Ronaldo…”

This is a move to avoid their arch-rival Real Madrid from stealing a march before them.

In order to make a worthwhile bid for the Portuguese star, the Spanish club plans to sell off some of their fading stars, such as Ronaldinho and Deco.

Releasing news such as this at this critical period of time, can be detrimental to the Manchester United squad, as they aim to seal this year’s Champion League winner. Personally, Cristiano Ronaldo is the future for Manchester United and I see him going nowhere in the near future. The fans love him at Old Trafford and he is definitely the star of his territory in England. I’m sure he’s not going to risk all these fame.

Playing in the Spanish league may be a totally new experience for the top-scoring winger; as he has mentioned it before, it is in his plan to play in a new ground, but it is certainly not now.

In terms of club management, I am even more led to believe Manchester United is not going to sell this young player. He’s definitely worth more than a dime – €100 million at least, before Manchester United should release him. Do remember that, he’s not just a winger; he scores goals at the rate of a striker!
