Behold the Ferocious Red Devils

Manchester United may not have a good start to the English Premiership this season. Currently, the team is lying floating above the relegation zone after 3 games played. On the other hand, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool have powered-up their teams to kick start a grand opening, now sitting in the top 3 positions. Right now, only the 3 of the so-call Top 4 are in the right zone, only with the exception of Manchester United. So, what has gone wrong with Manchester United?

The Red Devils have a wealth of attacking talent, consisting of Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez, Cristiano Ronaldo and recently joined Dimitar Berbatov. In addition, it is well-equipped with the experience of Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and the return of Gary Neville. This team should hit top gear, but the result shows the contrary, with only 1 win in the last 4 games played.

My belief is that the situation is too early to tell and it won’t take too long before Manchester United gets fired up with the flamboyant counter-attacks, opening the Devil’s flood gate. The team may have lost to Liverpool at Anfield, but this could probably be the worst it can get. Tomorrow, it will meet Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Nothing less than claiming a victory at the feasting ground is acceptable.

Cristiano Ronaldo is slowly returning from surgery and his form is remarkable, as shown from his initial start to the season as a substitute last week, against Liverpool. He did come close to salavage a win for the Red Devils, only to the team’s defensive disappointment. However, that is football. Take the chance, if not others will take it for you.

Comparatively, Manchester United is not too far behind and they should not be, especially with an additional game on hand. I would expect a high-tempo game tomorrow afternoon when the two Premiership giants meet. Scolari may have Deco as the playmaker. I’m interested to see how he can playmake when Ronaldo, Tevez, Rooney and Bebatov come charging down the midfield, flanks and frontline – the style of the fearless entertainment.
