Buy Unlocked Z10 and Q10 Directly from BlackBerry Online Store
Where would you get your mobile devices? If I guessed that correctly, most users would have actually obtained their personal mobile smartphones from the local telco service providers, where they would bundled special price on the handsets in a bid to sign on a one or two year contract.
Blackberry is now providing an options for buyers to purchase unlocked BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 models directly from their online store, via blackberry.com. A 16GB Z10 in black or white will set you back $449, and is compatible with GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile. However, it will only ship to U.S. addresses.
The situation in BlackBerry, previously known as Research in Motion (RIM), does not look good. A week ago, news were reporting that a consortium, led by Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited, will takeover the troubled Canadian phone maker in a $4.7 billion deal. It was shortly followed by an announcement of a global job cuts of nearly 5,000 employees.
Personally, I am a corporate owner of BlackBerry Z10, hence, I am concerned what’s the outcome should the company be taken over by another corporation or split up of its businesses. Z10 is a really good phone, unfortunately, its target audience is too niche (mostly business users) and end-user consumerism did not take off as quickly as it should be.
