Chelsea lost out on penalty against Burnley and Tottenham strikes fear in the English Premier League by wiping Liverpool out from the Carling Cup competition. What are the stands for the top 4 teams from the Premiership League? Typically, it is just left with Manchester United and Arsenal as strong contenders for the league cup winner.
The following teams (in no particular order) are left to progress to the Quarter-Final round.
- Watford
- Stoke
- Manchester United
- Derby
- Arsenal
- Tottenham
- Blackburn
- Burnley
Those highlighted in red belongs to the Premiership League. Hence, there is a 50-50 chance that any non-top-flight team may clinch the Carling Cup title.
