Departing for Manchester

Manchester, here I come! This is a time-capsule post – so the things that I am saying here may not necessarily be what I am doing.

As an avid football fan, I followed Manchester United Football Club (MUFC) very closely. Hence, this time, it kind of excites me as it is probably the first time that I am going to see Old Trafford; one of the biggest football stadium in the world. With the likes of star players, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick, Carlos Tevez, Patrick Evra, Edwin van der Sar and Paul Scholes, this is likely to be quite a much more thrilling trip; however, I really doubt if I could get to meet them.

Anyway, since this is a pre-forecasted post, I’ll try to describe the happenings from now on. I left Brunswick Hotel at 10 o’clock in the morning. It was kind of the staff to book a taxi in advance for me so that I will not miss the flight. The trip on the cab took about half-an-hour and costs just over 20 British Pounds (not more than 30 quids).

The flight from Glasgow to Manchester is at 1310 hours, on board BMI Baby, a subsidary of British Midlands. Anyway, the journey is roughly an hour’s flight, so time will past by pretty quick. Just before I know it, I’m already at the Manchester airport. This is tough! Now, I have to find my way to Appleton Street, the place where I have booked my apartment. I noticed that it is way outside the city centre; I wondered if the next 3 days are going to anywhere enjoyable or not. I should have stayed longer in Glasgow.

Nevertheless, I’m going to enjoy Halloween in Manchester!
