English Players – Where Are They?

BBC News has reported that this year has seen the number of English players in the English Premier League an all-time low. So, does that affect their appearance in the starting line-up?
As expected, of all the Premiership teams in the English Premier League (EPL), Arsenal has the lowest number of English players featuring in the starting eleven. West Ham and Aston Villa, surprisingly, have quite a high score of about half the team consisting of English players. So, where have all the English players gone to?
As it can be seen, English players are mainly found abroad, apart from Germany. There are more English-based players in Scotland, Italy and Spain, rather than in England itself.
