Firefox 3 Seems Slow in Ubuntu Hardy Heron

Not sure if it’s just only me, but my Firefox 3 is running very haphazardly in Ubuntu. Well, my system specifications are as follow:
So, I do not feel my system is anywhere inferior. In addition, I do not doubt Firefox developer team for designing the application.
What has gone wrong? Did Ubuntu incorporate too many plugins and re-designing of the Firefox 3 applications? Or is it that the Firefox for Linux is really that bad in version 3?
This sounds really disappointing, unfortunately. Firefox had better not release this version until it maximise its efficiency.
