Champion League LogoAfter last night Liverpool’s victory against Inter Milan, there is now four English teams in the final eight of the Champion League quarter-final round.

Italian SupporterThis is the first time in the Champion League history that any country has dominated the league in such a strong fashion. The four English teams are currently the top four teams in the English Premier League table; that is, Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and (now) Liverpool.

The remaining other four teams are Barcelona (Spanish), FC Porto (Portuguese), Roma (Italian) and Sevilla (Spanish). The progress into the final stage of this year’s Champion League is likely to see a very high possibility of an English team winning the title.
