Google Analytics on Top Content MappingThere were some high hits on my site last month, and it has probably due to the contributions of some posts made here, on my site.

Having checked the statistics and data on Google Analytics, I realised they were not some great, fantastic posts, but rather pictures or images that had attracted some visitors.

Further investigations have revealed that my site is generally bumped on by StumbleUpon, a rather nice little feature that bring visitors to your site by random. Nevertheless, let’s take a look at the top hits for last month.

Visitors of January 2009

As seen from the Visitors Overview graph above, the spike (highlighted in yellow) occurred some time around January 26th, 2009. Within a day, it has brought over 100 visitors in a single day.

Unsurprisingly, the top content is the front page of the blog, achieving near to 20% of the total number of hits. What really attracts the visitors on that day (with the sharp spike) is the post on Hovering Dogs.

Subsequently, the next most popular post is also an image article, on Commando Squirrel.

It seems that my site is becoming more of a picture showcase, rather than content-rich blog. Well, it doesn’t matter, as long as it brings in visitors – so as to generate some revenue from Google AdSense.
