Paul Scholes Against FulhamThis weekend, the Premiership leader, Manchester United, has dropped more points after they were defeated by Fulham at Craven Cottage. That match has seen 3 consecutive red cards shown to the Red Devils in two matches! The previous meeting against Liverpool at Old Trafford has seen them beaten 1 – 4 at home, with Vidic sent off for a second yellow card.

Wayne Rooney Against FulhamYesterday, 2 star players were sent off! Paul Scholes, the ever-relying stalwart and Wayne Rooney were yellow-carded for their offenses. This spells trouble for the Premiership Champion as they were enroute to win all 5 trophies. With them dropping points, it does not serve them any purpose.

Liverpool has yet to play Aston Villa (on Sunday). If Liverpool managed to win at home, the point difference between the first and second place teams will be down to only 1 point!

Just two weeks ago, Manchester United was commanding a 7-point lead at the top of the table. The loss over the last 2 games has been devastating towards their title bid. A lot will have to say about Sir Alex Ferguson as he seeks to regroup the team for the next match.
