Who can ever forget the old faithful, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, especially when Manchester United needed him most, he always produced the goods that his manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, would have wished for.

Nicknamed as the baby-faced assassin, the striker is undoubtedly one of the legends along side the great Manchester United players of all time. Recently, his injury has inevitably quickened his retirement from football, but now that he’s taking up a new role in the club that he has served for a long time, his experience is certainly to come to great use.

To commemorate the striker’s contribution to football, his testimonial clash will take place on August 2, 2008, against Espanyol at Old Trafford. It will then followed by two more friendlies; the first, a trip to London Road to take on his former manager’s son, Darren and his Peterborough side, the second, is another entertaining match against Juventus back at Old Trafford on August 6, 2008.

This is the making of a striker with a killer instinct that leaves no mercy to its defenders and goalkeeper, and what a way for a remarkable testimonial match set up for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
