Hot Saturday Afternoon in June (2015)

June 27, 2015 · Posted in Rant Corner · Comments Off on Hot Saturday Afternoon in June (2015)

What a Hot Afternoon

These days, waking up in the morning without air-conditioning in the house is a rare sight. Somehow, it appears that global warming has “reached” Singapore. The difference is significant. For instance, I kept my living room air-conditioned. The moment I opened the door into the kitchen, without even stepping into the kitchen itself, a gush of hot air blasted straight into my face. The feeling of the heat symbolises that of hot scorching sun in the African desert. As I am typing this post on my dining table in my living room; my air-conditioning unit is simply working hard to keep the house cool.

I hope this won’t last too long. The longer the dry spell, the higher possibility that haze will come soon… then it will be time to bring out my air purifier again.

Check Back on Site Statistics 2015 Q1

WP Blog Statistics in 2015

I have to admit honestly that I have been neglecting this blog site of mine, for probably one of the longest time. Come to think of it, when I first started blogging here back in 2007, I was making 20-30 posts a month – which was significant, compared to now (1-2 blog posts per month). However, I continue to keep my policy of ensuring a post is being made a month without fail, for the last 7 years. This record remains intact.

Most of the posts are of not great value, but I find it fun writing them. However, this is not entirely true for all, as I do notice some significant traffic driven to certain posts that I never knew would actually be of interest of the public. Let’s have a look at the top posts over the last one year.

Chelsea versus Manchester United Match Preview – April 2015

April 18, 2015 · Posted in English Football · Comments Off on Chelsea versus Manchester United Match Preview – April 2015

Chelsea and Man Utd

Today will be the day where the English football titans for the last 10 years will meet head to head at Stamford Bridge. The Blues currently tops the league table with 73 points over the Red Devils who are at 65 points, but played one game more. This is not just special just for the 2 biggest football clubs in England, but goes back to the history where Jose Mourinho meets his ex-manager, Louis van Gaal, when he used to be his first-team coach back in the 1990s.

At this point in time, I don’t see Chelsea slipping up and they are likely to win the Premier League, unless something drastically happened, where mathematically, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City all stands a chance the clinch the title.

Well, for tonight, let’s see who gets the upper hand.
