Excruciating Backache on Monday

It must be due to sitting too long hours on a chair whilst surfing the net; or it could be that the chair is not suitable for my back. Right now, I am having this terrible, excruciating back pain that has been hindering me since I left the house to work. Standing up from sitting down is a hassle. Sitting down from standing is difficult.

This is so frustrating, yet so uncomfortable! It does not look good at all, especially I have to National Service (NS) recall coming up next week. Oh, I completely am not looking forward to it.

Terrible ManU Match of the Weekend

I watched the Arsenal versus Manchester United match yesterday over the cable television at the nearby coffee shop. To my honest opinion, the match was horrendous.

New Dunman Logo

Dunman Secondary School, my alma mater, has recently changed the school logo to a new one (see right). The change has received both positive and negative feedbacks. Especially with the involvement of the Alumni, a lot of past students have expressed negatively against the change of the current logo. A poll, initiated by Tan Shao-Yi, was even set up here, which the petition hit more than 500 signatures.

Automatic Upgrade to WordPress 2.7 Beta 2

I have got to tell you this; it is so cool. Upgrading WordPress has never been easier, just like the click of a button. Ever since I moved from WordPress 2.6 to WordPress 2.7 Beta 1, the overall experience has been fascinating.

From the sidebar of the Admin Dashboard, I accessed the Tools menu and then click on Update. Immediately, the system performed an automatic upgrade of WordPress to the latest nightly build - which is currently WordPress 2.7 Beta 2.

The ability of being able to cut-down maintenance and upgrade time, from the infamous 5-minute installation and upgrade, to a mere 5-second upgrade is a major achievement!

Great work to WordPress for having achieved this feat!

WordPress Upgraded to 2.7 Beta 1

I am normally not in the favour of running beta stuffs on production servers; but this time is rather tempting, with the release of WordPress 2.7 Beta 1. A lot of reports and reviews have been released in the press giving thumbs-up for this latest version and it seems to be very true.

The interface is so cool; it’s just like a complete transition when WordPress 2.5 overtook the older version interfaces. WordPress 2.7 is that big transformation.

Apart from the interface design, which looks stunning from first view, the commands are well-placed strategically at the sidebar to ensure maximum effectiveness. In addition, one of the best functions is the automatic update feature, placed under Tools option. Note that, most of the features are done with Ajax, which is amazingly cool!

Another Personal Thoughts Whilst Waiting for Plane

There is roughly 20 minutes to go prior departure from Glasgow airport to Manchester; instead of letting my time goes to waste, I suppose writing some thing here might be more productive, or rather useful.

My personal thoughts - what is on my mind? It seems that I am feeling a little relaxed at the moment, but subconsciously worried about issues that might arise in the future. There are a lot of things - e.g. economy market, job availability, future prospects, personal life, etc. So many things seem to be going on within the last one year; some of which made me feel rejoiced while others made me feel down and sorrowful.
