Predicted Teams in UEFA Champion League Semi-Final

My predictions of the UEFA Champion League semi-finalists has come true. So, let’s take a look at the current standing.
- Liverpool versus Chelsea
- Barcelona versus Manchester United
This is probably old news, but I don’t mind blogging about it. AS Roma was defeated by Manchester United at Old Trafford last Wednesday. The victory sees Manchester United broke the record of 11 consecutive home league wins, previously held by Juventus. Carlos Tevez scored the only goal of the match, ensuring the game is won. In order for AS Roma to make a comeback, they will need to score 3 goals within a space of 20 minutes, which is seemingly impossible given the strong defense led by Rio Ferdinand.
Anyway, guess who’s watching from the crowd? Yes, it’s Eric Cantona, the Old Trafford No.7 legend.
At the other end, Barcelona went through with a fortunate goal; well, a goal is a goal, and that does not matter as long as the match over two legs is won. The victory ensures the next two Champion League matches between Barcelona and Manchester United are the ones to watch!
The happenings on Tuesday is probably more boring, albeit dramatic. Within coming to an end of the match, Arsenal held 2-2 against Liverpool, and with the away goal in favour of the Gunners, they are almost guaranteed to progress. Unfortunately, Liverpool scored two exclusive goals within the dying minutes, which ensures the Reds finish 5-3 on aggregate. Hence, Liverpool, led by Steven Gerrard, became the team to progress.
Chelsea also went through with a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge; with a 3-2 aggregate over their opponent. The win sets up a classic Chelsea versus Liverpool match, AGAIN, in the semi-final of the UEFA Champion League. The Reds have defeated Chelsea during that stage for the past 2 seasons in three years.
