Pricking and Receiving a Needle

Needle for InfusionDid I ever mention before how much I am so perturbed about National Service recall? This is one of the reasons - getting myself pricked with a needle, as well as pricking others with a needle.

The course is known as CCAC, aka Combat Casualty Aided Course if I get that right. Apart from learning bandages and CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resusitation), I have to undergo Infusion training; that is, learning to prick someone with a needle and make sure blood oozed out from the veins through the tube. Naturally, it was not meant to flow out, but for the liquid (water) to flow into the blood stream.

The worst part is, getting myself pricked by someone! Yes, I did.
