Should I Change My Email Address?

September 10, 2008 · Posted in Anything

Having lost my data to a hard disk crash, I realised one of the most important loss is the mail storage. I have been using Microsoft Outlook to download and read emails from various sources, but all were gone ever since the data loss took place.

Realising that the traditional method of storing data on your own system may not be the ultimate solution, I may seek to use an online email system, such as GMail, Hotmail or Yahoo! Mail; all of which now provide huge data storage spaces.

This has been in my thought for quite some time but nothing has yet being decided, because most of my personal contacts have been via through personal POP-SMTP mail type provided by SingNet. Nevertheless, time has changed and perhaps I should be looking for a change as well – for the better. I believe within the next couple of weeks, I should be able to decide on whether I should be sticking on using my current email account or have a total change to a new system. Of course, the latter will involve an announcement to be sent out to all my contacts informing them of the new email address.

Well, if any of you have great advice, please feel free to let me know!
