Singapore Versus Malaysia in World Cup 2014 Qualifier Tonight
A decade since Singapore and Malaysia played a competitive cup match, tonight marks the day where Singapore will meet its neighbour at Jalan Basar stadium in a World Cup 2014 Second Round Qualifier. The usual venue, National Stadium, is under renovation.
Despite the smaller venue, tickets were completely sold out within a day! This shows how much fans are anticipating to look forward towards the match.
The match will bring back the good old times when Singapore was part of the Malaysia Cup football league. Which side will win? I don’t know, but being Singaporean, I certainly support the Reds.

The result from the first leg match ended up Singapore thumping 5 goals, with a scoreline of 5-3. I did not report on the second leg, held in Malaysia, whereby the result was a 1-1 draw. Overall, Singapore went through to the next stage with a score of 6-4 from both legs.
