SingTel Advises Users on DNS Changer Virus

SingTel LogoSingTel sent out a message to all SingNet users last week, informing them to be aware of a virus, named DNS Changer, circulating around the Internet, which has affected approximately 4 million computers worldwide.

The virus interferes with users’ experience by directing them to fake and malicious websites, often without their knowledge. As a precautionary measure, users are advised to:

  1. Scan and remove the virus if the computer is affected.
  2. Restore DNS setting.

For more information, users can search for DNS Changer using your favourite search engine, e.g. Google.
