StumbleUpon Brings Me More Than 500 Unique Visitors Over The Last 24 Hours

At first, I thought I am seeing things, but I noticed that the FireStats that I installed on my site revealed that 696 visitors has visited my blog during the last 24 hours. This cannot be true because I never have more than 10 visitors at any 24 hour range.

FireStats Popular PagesOn further investigation, I found out that it was StumbleUpon that has been sending those traffic. Apparently, the Baby Panda article is the main reason for the great volume of incoming traffic (check out the screenshot on the right).

In addition, the number is still rising. After publishing this post, the number of visitors have increased by another 10. Hence, thank you so much, StumbleUpon; now that my site is more visible in the Internet regime.

New Update: 3 Hours Later

Fire Stats - Three Hours Later

Three hours later, I went back to check my visitors’ statistics. Guess what? The number of unique visitors over the past 24 hours have risen to more than a thousand (see attachment above). Trust me, there is no Photoshop in this post, I merely took a screenshot of it.

Another Update: Just After Lunch, 2 Hours Later

Firestats After Lunch

I just returned from lunch break, which is two hours since my previous update. Guess what, another further 200 more unique visitors driven to the site by StumbleUpon. All simply just because of this Cute Panda Picture article. This is just starting to get exciting!

Final Update: 6 Hours Later After Lunch

FireStats - 6 hours later after lunch

This could be my last and final update about FireStats for today, before some more people get annoyed at me for having generated that much traffic. In Summary, the last 6 hours, since lunch, has shown the number of visitors saturating at about 1,400 people. I believe the traffic could have peaked by now and it will be falling very soon, if not already started falling.

Last but not least, whether if it’s a comment or criticism, I appreciate you for dropping a comment on my blog site. Have a great weekend!

No offense, but that’s probably because you’re featuring content from OTHER SITES and NOT EVEN LINKING TO THEM.

Sure, everyone does it. But at least have the decency to find the original source of the images and give them credits.

    Hi Faithful Fan,
Thank you for your comment. Please allow me to explain my stand.

As a matter of fact, I did not pick up or copy these pictures from another site. I received them via email from a friend of mine, Debra and I did not find any quoted source from the email; otherwise I would have gladly posted the original link here.

My site is a simple blog with little or no intention to generate revenue from traffic. In addition, I have placed links to other sites as much as I feel they should be made known with no hesistation. Furthermore, I am anti-plagarism person, as what rightfully belongs to the owner should be given credits.

Last but not least, I have never mention that I own those pictures, which I merely posted them here to share with the public. If you, or anyone else knew the exact link to the original source, please feel free to let me know, and of course, they (the original owner) should be given credits.

    Cheers, mate!
