Sunday Flee Market in September 2011
At a small corner near the junction of the ESSO petrol station in Pasir Ris, along Drive 1, a few stalls have mushroomed out under the void deck of Block 438 selling items of all kinds. This is the flee market that I’m talking about.
Stall owners brought along trolleys and boxes of new and second-hand items to prepare and put their sharpened communication skills into use. According to the organizer, six stalls were expected to be out today, but two pulled out at the very last minute.
At 10:49am, three stalls are already crowded with customers, where one has just arrived and in the process of setting up. Items range from clothing, accessories, caps, webcam to shoes, jigsaw puzzles and branded bags! You will be surprised that authentic or genuine brands, such as Gucci and Guess bags are also available!
The stalls will be here for the whole day until late afternoon; but from past experiences, the crowd tends to decline after 2pm and normally so do the stalls. If you are located nearby (in Pasir Ris or Tampines), it is worthwhile to make a trip here to get your real bargain!
