Trying Out Mozilla Portable

Firefox PortableWorking on a several different laptops (or computer systems) can be quite troublesome, especially if you are used to Mozilla Firefox but realised that the software is not available on that particular system.

PortableApps came up with such an ingenuous idea to create portable applications; that is, Mozilla Firefox can be fired up from a USB thumb drive, without having to install it onto your computer system. Furthermore, it leaves no trace of data on the computer that you are working on.

I tried the Mozilla Firefox 3 Portable Edition 3 Beta 2 today and I have to admit it is really cool. I have the application installed onto my SD Card. So far, it is working pretty well. The only exception is, I am unable to access my email on Hotmail. Perhaps, it might just be due to Microsoft being skeptical with non-Internet Explorer browsers.

Well, just as I speak, I am writing this post from my Portable Firefox. It’s just too good to be true. In addition, I installed Portable GIMP as well.
